Class Details
Age: 6 months to 6 years old
Class length: 10-minute lessons, 4x a week – typically 6-8 weeks to complete.
Class ratio: 1-on-1
Who is this class for?
Recommended for children 6 months old to 6 years old who CANNOT roll to float independently yet. (If your child is an independent swimmer, you can sign up for our regular classes, Level 2+).
Each lesson is 1-on-1 with your child and the instructor. Lessons are 10 minutes long and will take place Mon-Thurs for approximately 6 weeks, until the child can perform all the skills by themselves (could take up to 8 weeks). In order to gain independence, children need to repeat motor skills on a daily basis.
Your child will be gently introduced to the water by their instructor. The instructor will work with him/her to guide them through the lesson process and build a level of trust and comfort in the water. For younger children (18 months and younger), we will teach your child to roll to their back to float. For those that are older than 18 months, we will teach your child to swim with their face in the water, roll to their back, and then swim to the side of the pool. Infants and young children are transformed from being totally helpless in the water into confident, capable swimmers in just a matter of weeks!

Lynsey has a love for all things athletic. She coaches volleyball and has been a swim instructor for more than a year. Last year she ran in an ultramarathon and wonders if a triathlon may be in her future.
Lynsey has three daughters (9, 6 and 3) that keep her and her husband, JD, on their toes. She loves the growth process that happens in community, whether that’s on a court, in a pool, or on the journey of life.
