- School Year Weekly is charged monthly in ten equal payments of $85 per payment
- Annual Membership Fee: $35/kid with max family cost of $100

Summer Jr Swim Team: “Swim Waco Makos”
Swim Waco’s Jr Swim Team is designed for swimmers age 6+ who have completed Level 3 and are ready to go beyond traditional lessons while still receiving high-quality, hands-on coaching. Our program blends strong technique instruction, endurance building, and a fun team environment. Our team practices year-round on a weekly basis and competes in swim meets 1x per school semester against other Swim Waco Mako athletes and participates in 3 summer meets as a part of the CenTex Swim Club recreational league for city-wide competitions.

What Makes Swim Waco’s Swim Team Unique
- Small group ratio (4:1) for INDIVIDUALIZED coaching
- Instructors IN the water with swimmers for direct technique correction
- Focus on learning strokes CORRECTLY the first time to support healthy movement patterns
- 1X/WEEK practice
- Swim meets 2x/school-year & 3x/summer (optional, allowing families flexibility)
- Swim lesson times for siblings going at the same time in a different lane.
- Our teams prioritize FUN and ENCOURAGEMENT over competition. We love a little competition but put most emphasis on learning and enjoying the water as we grow together.
Junior Swim Team B (beginner): Prerequisites
Kids must be 6 – 12 yrs old & already be able to:
- Swim a Swim a “good” freestyle with side breathing a full lap (2 lengths) without stopping
- Swim a “good” backstroke with straight arms, rotation along the axis line of the spine, and an underwater pull
- Know the basics of breaststroke.
- This class will focus on building strength and stroke consistency, learning butterfly, starts, turns, etc. while building speed and endurance.
Junior Swim Team A (advanced): Prerequisites
Kids must be 8 – 12 yrs old & already be able to:
- Swim 2 laps continuously of freestyle with bilateral breathing in a 25-yard pool (do flip turns)
- Swim 2 laps of backstroke continuously with straight arms, an underwater pull in a 25-yard pool
- Swim 2 laps of breaststroke with proper timing in a 25-yard pool
- Swim 1 lap of Butterfly in a 25-yard pool
- This class will focus on refining all 4 strokes, starts, turns, speed and endurance.

This will be our 1st year being part of the CenTex Swim Club and being eligible to compete with TAAF (Texas Amateur Athletic Federation)

Not Enrolling in Summer Swim Team Practices but Still Want to Compete?
Swimmers who are on our school-year swim team but not enrolled in summer practices may still participate in summer swim meets.
